008-Newcombe Drive-House extension

Personal project: development of a side extension on this 1930s property located in the Stoke Bishop area of Bristol.

The proposal involves a small interior alteration, with the addition of a new side extension (40 sqm) to accommodate a shower room, guest bedroom and and a studio area. The chosen area to develop the new one storey space looks to minimize as much as possible the impact on neighbouring properties and also uses an area partially pointing north, while maximizing sunlight from the east and south. As a personal project developed through Studio DQ, I have delivered all stages to date, proposing and developing the design, and coordinating with other parties to prepare the appropriate documentation to be submitted Bristol City Council. In July 2022, the application was granted by the Council.
